Listed elevation: 0 sea level but rising.
Complexity 5 (tall grass many boulders , difficult terrain.)
Nearby hexes have higher elevations so the terrain must be climbing up away from the beach in a grassy rocky scramble. High stalk's of marsh grasses and bamboo like trees are all around. The vegetation is thick and hard to see through. The team quickly looses site of the ship as they walk inland.
A feeling of quiet isolation befalls the party as they move up the gentile slope. Insects buzzing about and the occasional sounds of exotic birds are all that greet your ears. Small talk concerning the adventures ahead break the silence.
The weather is fine for walking but getting cooler as the sun dips lower.
The Vista:
- North: To the North the sea is still on the horizon as you climb steadily the ship recedes from view blocked out by a sea of tall grasses.
- West: To the west the grassy marsh extends outward as far as your team can see.
- South: :To the south The terrain climbs steadily (about 1100 feet in elevation crossed 7 miles. a gentile 3% grade) the thick shore grasses begin to thin out on the southerly border giving way to the larger slower growing tress of a proper forest.
- East: To the east One can catch glimpses of the rolling dunes of a vast sandy beach.
- Tall grass
- very tall Bamboo like trees.
- small game trails
- A 10 foot by 12 foot stone foundation covered in grass and moss sitting precariously on a slope.
